The Celt Pub on Talbot Street is one pub you'll have pleasure in visiting. The pub hosts live music 7 days a week. It has the traditional ambience of the rustic Ireland and embodies everything that you would expect of an old traditional Irish pub.
The Celt on Talbot Street is a fine little pub to spend a night in. It has live music 7 nights a week and free admission. The wooden interior complements its feel as 'auld' style 'Irish' pub but is very much country based as opposed to Dublin based. The service and value is quite good, the prices are keen and this is a good pub to visit during the week for a bit of entertainment.
The Celt is an old world traditional Irish pub and embodies everything you would expect of an Old World Irish Pub. As one would expect of a traditional 'Shibeen' there is no cover charge, you are welcome to 'drop in for an impromptu drop' with no compulsion to 'get you money's worth'.
Enjoy the ambience, the rustic decor from the old stone slabed floor to the high arched fireplace, the amusing 'wit' from the patrons along with the spontaneous music from the many musicians that frequent The Celt.
The Celt places great importance on tradition. From the tails told by the old Dublin locals, to the stories and rhymes contained in their music, myths and legends.
The Celt is a must visit pub. The staff is friendly and cooperative; the live music is great and energetic. One of the best music pubs you will ever have the pleasure of visiting.

Really great pub, food is very very good and portions are of a good size and not expensive. Great staff and a nice relaxing atmosphere. Had a really good time there while on holiday. Will be back for sure if we come to dublin again.

Wandered into the Celt in around 2004 desperation to escape our horrible hotel after our evening meal out.
After initially wondering if we were supposed to be there as people obviously clocked we were not local, and due to a massive Irish National National Flag dominating a wall. we sat down and had a really enjoyable evening of a good different sort of atmosphere and spontaneous entertainment, and returned during the rest of our break for some more.
Great place will return if ever in Dublin it sounds like it remains much the same.
