Ferry house Bed and Breakfast is situated in Clarinda Park Dun Laoghaire Co. Dublin. The Bed and Breakfast is located in an old Victorian square, with tennis courts as one of its main attractions. The Ferry house bed & breakfast is a Victorian period house, built in 1860 and maintained to a very high standard. It still contains many of the original features and a fine example of these are the high ornate ceilings. The accommodation is comparable to more expensive and highly rated hotels and guest house accommodation located in Dublin, Wicklow and surrounding areas.
Location
The Ferry house is situated on the southside of Dublin city and approximately 12 km from the city centre. It is on the main Dart line and this journey provides some spectacular sea views. Our nearest dart station is Sandycove/Glastule which is 3 minutes walk approximately from the house. This journey from the Dublin city centre to the Bed and Breakfast takes 18 to 20 minutes. We are also served by the number 7 bus from the city, which stops across the road from the house and the 46A which stops in the centre of the town.
If the hustle and bustle of the city centre is too much take a 45A or a 75 to Bray or Stillorgan. The 45A bus serves Bray, a beautiful seaside town with many scenic walks and amusement centres. For all you night owls we are also served by the nightlink bus which runs until 3.30am. The airport is accessible from Dun Laoighaire by using the 746 bus or the special airbus.
Local Attraction
The Dunlaoghaire area and adjacent town lands of Dalkey and Killiney is home to many famous names such as Hugh Leonard, Bono, Chris De Burgh, Enya, Eddy Irvine, Neil Jordan and Lisa Stansfield. Dalkey village which is within walking distance from Ferry House is designated as a heritage town and has history dating back over 3,500 years. Dalkey and Dunlaoghaire also have an excellent choice of pubs and restaurants. Also nearby is Sandycove, which is best known for its Martello tower, now the James Joyce Museum.
