Description: Having an age of more than 130 years, the Olympia Theatre is the oldest theatre in Dublin. Maintaining its roots in the traditional Ireland it has developed into being one of the most famous and sought after music venue. |

This fine 19th-century venue has a fading glory that perfectly suits its dual function as both a theatre and a venue for live bands. Productions are generally of the more mainstream variety, while the venue's large capacity is popular with visiting rock acts from Britain and further afield. Check the local press for details of what's on. The Olympia's annual pantomime has also become somewhat of a national institution.
The Olympia Theatre is one of the oldest Theatres in Dublin. Generations of Dubliners have been entertained and enthralled here by some of Irelands and Europe's finest theatre companies and actors. Today the Olympia not only hosts plays and theatre, but a wide range of events from concerts to comedy. The Olympia Theatre is a prime venue for big-name musical acts, concerts, plays, sporting events and exhibitions.
