With a massive history and home to thousands of Dublin plays, The Gaiety Theatre has been home to Maureen Potter, Niall Toibin, John B. Keane, Anna Manahan, Des Keogh and Rosaleen Linehan, whose bronze handprints, are set into the pavement in front the theatre, together with those of Luciano Pavarotti and Brian Friel, testament to the longstanding association these great artists have had with Dublin’s Gaiety Theatre.
Brendan Behan's Borstal Boy contionues to blow visitors minds, as it runs from the 11th September to the 25th October 2014. This critically acclaimed and commermorative play marks the anniversary of the death of Brendan Behan and tells the story of the legendary Irish author. This show stars Peter Coonan (Love/Hate, What Richard Did, Quirke) and Gary Lydon ( Clavary, The Guard, War Horse) as the younger and older Brendan Behan. Tickets from 25.00 euro.

The musical Grease comes to the Gaiety theatre from the 5th November to the 16th November 2014. This
new Irish production of the original high-school musical will be rockin' Dublin during November. The musical Grease has indeed taken over the world, with its mix of unforgettable songs and dazzling dance routines, its a must see. GREASE is directed by Tony Finnegan, award winning Irish director of Annie, The Sound of Music and Jekyll & Hyde with music direction by David Hayes (RTE’s The Voice), and choreography by exciting new Northern Irish choreographer Rebecca Leonard. Accompanied by the RTE concert Orchestra, Ballet Ireland will perform Swan Lake at the Gaiety Theatre
from the 19th to the 22nd November 2014. This famous Ballet tells the stroy of Odette, a beautiful princess, who by day turns into a swan by the evil magician Von Rothbart, only to regain her human form at night. Prince Siegfried encounters her and falls in love with her. But will he break the spell over Odette.
