Hai Lan Korean Restaurant is a newly opened Korean restaurant situated at 65 Dame Street. This is a sister restaurant to the HiLan Chinese & Korean Restaurant at 45 Capel Street which has had the same management since 2008.
 
The new restaurant is located convenient to the Olympia Theatre in city centre. Since opening its doors the restaurant has received good reviews from both the Irish Times food critic, Catherine Cleary and Lucinda O’Sullivan who writes for the Independent. The aim of the restaurant is to provide a pleasant and quality dining experience. The restaurant is elegantly decorated with an understated Asian decoration which gives it an ambient environment.
 
It has an extensive menu which is clear and easy to understand. It has something to suit all tastes.
Korean cuisine has evolved over centuries originating from ancient agricultural and nomadic traditions. For Korean people the food provides taste, medicine and a connection to the country.
 
Korean food traditionally is always served with a spoon and metal chopsticks.Traditional Korean Bimimbap which is a mixed rice dish. In Korean “bimim” means mixed and “bap” means rice. The dish consists of hot steamed rice, served in a stoneware casserole dish, layered with cooked vegetables with a fried egg on top.  Its’ served with a spicy sauce which you can add to your liking. Traditionally completely mix the dish with your spoon before eating.
 
Few more recommendation of traditional dish- braised beef ribs dish; An egg-chive pancake and a mixed  seafood hot pot with vegtables and tofu. The food was served in generous portions and it is simply delicious.
 
Dumplings are available with a number of different fillings, including lamb with carrots and coriander; pork with celery; or courgette with prawn. Etc.
 
Here you will also find traditional dishes to satisfy your taste buds and specially created dishes for you to discover the delights sushi. We present the very best to you the finest ingredients masterfully prepared for your enjoyment. From 12pm to 4pm, the sushi only cost 0.99 cent per piece.
