Grange Castle Golf Club

Grange Castle Golf Course was established in April 1998. The development of Grange Castle was the first undertaking by the Parks and Landscape Services Department of South Dublin County Council into golf course development. The golf course forms part of a network of 30 parks, comprising a total of 3,500 acres, managed by the Parks and Landscaping Services Department of South Dublin County Council.

The reputation of the course was quickly established owing to its excellent condition. Combining wonderful playing conditions with the highest standard of layout, Grange Castle is one of Dublin's most popular tracts. Since its establishment the course has matured considerably and continues to go from strength to strength each year.

Set in over 155 acres of spectacular parkland and with a pleasant backdrop of the Dublin Mountains, Grange Castle is sure to provide all standards of golfer with a unique and memorable challenge. "Arguably the best pay-and-play course in the country"

In September 2003, the new clubhouse was opened. This magnificent building now provides a reception area with a lounge area, Ladies and Gents Locker rooms with shower and toilet facilities. Situated off the Naas Road at Newlands Cross in Clondalkin, Grange Castle is only 20 minutes from the city centre.

The Grange Castle Golf Course

Designed by Patrick Merrigan, one of Ireland's foremost golf course architects who also designed The Old Head of Kinsale, Slieve Russell and Faithlegg, Grange Castle measures over 6,500 yards from the championship tees.

Four lakes combine with over 50 strategically positioned bunkers and superb greens to present all standards of golfer with a considerable challenge and memorable golfing experience.

Grange Castle's par of 72 boasts a number of magnificent holes, including the 430 yard, fourth hole, a par 4 dog-leg, which involves a tee shot over water with a further lake to be negotiated in front of the green.

The course is an ideal venue for society and group outings. Catering can be arranged for groups through Grange Castle's relationship with nearby pubs, restaurants and hotels.
