Due to its extravagant repute, this course will organize the qualifying events from 2005 until 2010. It was also awarded as Golf Course of the Year in year 2004.
Originally, The Island Golf Club was established in 1890. An exuberant clubhouse was built so as to truly reflect the class of this club. It underwent two major reconstructions and now has all the facilities to host major amateur tournaments as well as meeting the needs of the members and visitors.
