Skerries Golf Club is perhaps one of the best contest courses on the outer edge of Dublin, yet it never appears to obtain the consideration or honour that it really deserves. The club was established in 1905 and is sited just about six miles at the east of the Dublin - Belfast road and on twenty minutes drive from Dublin airport.
The Golf Club at Skerries is an 18-hole parkland course, measuring about 6,107 metres from the medal tees, with rolling fairways, fully grown trees and enjoys splendid views of the sea, expanding from the Mourne Mountains to Howth and the Wicklow Mountains. Even though it does not have a big area but still what it loses in length; it makes it up in its challenge.
A full bar and catering service is available in the friendly atmosphere of the clubhouse.
