Moran Hotels is a family concern, owned and operated by the Moran Family. Tom Moran, Managing Director, began his career in the hospitality industry in the sixties. He moved back to his native Limerick with his family in the early 1980's and ran a large music hall featuring show-bands from all over the country. The acquisition of Ireland's first million pound pub, the Red Cow Inn in 1988 was shortly followed by the Playwright Inn, The Madhatter Pub, Baroque Bar, The Pierhouse Hotel and the landmark Crown, Cricklewood.
The Red Cow Moran Hotel, Dublin, a contemporary 4 star hotel and the flagship of the Group, opened in 1996. The Silver Springs Moran Hotel, Cork, Cork was acquired from Fitzpatrick Hotels in 1999 and was stunningly refurbished throughout. The Crown Moran Hotel, London opened in 2003 as an impressive four star hotel.
In 2004 focus of the group moved more towards hotels with the sale of a number of the group's most successful bars. Chiswick Moran Hotel, London is our latest strategically located four star hotel project and is now under construction in the upmarket Chiswick area of central London with further acquisition of sites for development as new hotels in the UK and Ireland.
This famous Irish Landmark Pub has been in existence since 1690 and has grown into one of the largest and best-known pubs in the country. Renowned for good food and lively entertainment the Red Cow Inn has a choice of bars and restaurants to cater for everyone's taste.
