Over the last few years Dublin's live Jazz Soul & Blues music scene has experienced a renaissance with a host of exciting club nights. The emergence of a new generation of talented Irish Jazz, Blues & Soul musicians, and an exciting new venue, BLEU NOTE. Now open Dublin's only dedicated Jazz and Blues live music venue in the city centre, "Bleu Note" Bar and Club at 61-63 Capel Street, Dublin 1.
The northside of Dublin has long been neglected for good live entertainment venues however the opening of Bleu Note Bar & Club more than answers the problem. It’s the wake up call that live music fans and people who enjoy a fabulous venue screamed for.
Capel Street in Dublin is quietly emerging as the coolest place to hang out in Dublin. "Bleu Note" Bar & Club has spearheaded this new exciting time for Capel Street.
Bleu Note takes its inspiration from the legendary jazz clubs of New York, Soho and New Orleans with a very intimate atmosphere of low lighting and candles to complement a heady brew of Jazz, Blues, Funk and Soul that will take you well past the midnight hour.
Open 7 nights a week with live music from Monday to Sunday.
Upstairs at the Bleu Note features a rotation of Blues, Funk and Soul bands nightly from 8.30pm Monday to Sunday. Monday evening at the Bleu Note venue sees an excellent residency in the shape of the Essential Big Band (9-11.30pm, cover charge €5). The seventeen piece big swing band, recreates the sound of the swing era.
Every Tuesday listen to a new mix of Jazz Trios and Quartet. (9 - 11.30pm cover charge €5).
Wednesdays get funky with live funk bands on the scene. (9 - 11.30pm cover charge €5).
In the Jazz basement Guitarist Louis Stewart and his band continue to wow audiences with their Thursday evening residency at the Bleu Note. Admission is just €8 and the performance begins at 8.30pm.While upstairs Simon Cregan sings the songs of Frank Sinatra and The Ratpack. (9 - 11.30pm cover charge €5).
Our weekends continue to shake up Dublin’s live music scene with the best of live Jazz, Blues, Soul and Funk bands. Three live bands over two floors kicking off at 9pm through to 2.30am cover €12.
