Review:

Has there not been a lust for woman, power and wealth, the globe would rather have been a piece of tranquillity. rightly said by eminent scholars. History witnesses that it's the lust for a woman that has dethroned the monarchs from their powers, it's the lust for wealth that endangers several lives and it's the lust for power where everything becomes fair to have a hold of it. The film "Blood diamond" is based on the subject carrying these impediments that resist things to be settled down peacefully.

The movie begins with the chaos of the civil war of Sierra Leone. Solomon Vandy, a fisherman, is shown separated from his family and is imprisoned by the Revolutionary United Front. He is forced to work in the diamond fields under the command of Captain Poison. Diamonds excavated by the hostages are used by the Revolutionary united Front to buy arms and ammunitions. Once Solomon, while working in the field, unearths a large unique pink diamond. Captain Poison spots Solomon with the diamond but he gets the stone buried, before being arrested along with Captain Poison and the other rebels.
He then meets Danny Archer who's imprisoned for smuggling and is desperate to reimburse his boss for the lost diamonds. He somehow comes to know about Solomon and the pink diamond. He makes a plan to hunt down the diamond and offers Solomon to help him find his family at the cost of that stone.

Edward Zwick, the director of Blood Diamond, has played with the manifestations contentedly in his film. Blood diamond with the genres of Drama, Romance, Thriller and crime is starring a bright array of stars encompasses Leonardo DiCaprio, Djimon Hounsou, Jennifer Connelly, James Purefoy and Arnold Vosloo.
