Review:

Peter Webber throws a concrete spiky pebble of the film "Hannibal Rising" into the swirl of films containing serial-killing genre. "Hannibal Rising" being slightly divergent from the rest films presents a character of a serial killer who was not born, but made.

At the end of World War II, a young Hannibal witnesses the violent death of his parents, leaving his young sister in his care. Their ferocious death haunts him day and night. He doesn't hit upon any supporting means and thus is forced to live in a Soviet orphanage. He then struggles to search his uncle but he found his Japanese widow, Lady Murasaki in Paris. Even her affection and love cannot help him move on. As the movie goes on, he realizes his capabilities and aptitude for science. He is accepted into medical school on the basis of his capabilities where he finds ample learning opportunities to polish his skills. There he's given a quest which ignites a voracious lust to exact justice on the war criminals.
