Review: In this romantic comedy, two people finds out that how true is the old saying "lucky in life, unlucky in love". Ashley Albright (Lindsay Lohan) is the luckiest woman in the world, a person to whom all the good things in life have come far too easily. She can pick a lottery ticket at random and hit the jackpot. In, the world's busiest city, New York, she never has to wait for a cab. Jake (Chris Pine), in contrast, is not quite lucky, he is inept and misfortune prone, things never seem to go his way, and he has just lost his job at a bowling alley.
The climax occurs when at one big party night, when dreams can be made or broken; fate brings Ashley and Jake together on the dance floor. Instantly taken with one another, they share an electrifyingly kiss and with that one kiss, their places shifts. All of a sudden, Ashley's dress rips, heel breaks and her good luck seem to have eventually run out. Jake makes friends with a wealthy musician and swiftly, finds himself victorious and flush with cash. As Ashley badly accelerate to regain the luck she merrily took for granted, she starts believing that it's not having good luck but what counts is how you do with it and that her supreme chance of salvation lies with the guy who holds the key to her abrupt change of destiny.
MPAA Rating: PG-13 for some brief sexual references.
