Review: Robert Thorn (Liev Schreiber) is a senior American diplomat whose wife, Katherine (Julia Stiles), bears a difficult delivery where their newborn child has died. The hospital pastor presents Thorn with another child born that night, whose mother died in childbirth, as Katherine already had two miscarriages. The priest induces Thorn to take the infant boy as his own; and that Katherine and their son must never know the truth. They name him Damien and as he turns five, upsetting events begin to transpire.

Robert and Katherine were as loving parents as any young boy could ask for, but as destiny would have it, they come to know that he is distant from the usual child. Now, as the mysterious boy's growth begins to share worrying correspondences with the Biblical forecasts regarding the rise of the Anti-Christ, Robert and Katherine are strained to face the horrendous vision that their child has been sent from Satan to accelerate the plummet of modern civilization, and that there is petite they can do to control his prophesied path of eventual demolition.

MPAA Rating: R for disturbing violent content, graphic images and some language.
