The reconstruction and creation of a modern sports entertainment complex at Shelbourne Park was completed in 1995. Now it is an exciting and vibrant place to enjoy an evening out with a difference.
With such a fast paced sport there is always something to do and see at Shelbourne Park.
If you'd prefer to leave the car at home and enjoy your evening to the full, the numbers 2 and 3 buses leave regularly from O'Connell street in the heart of the city and will drop you right at our door. We are situated just 5 minutes from the Grand Canal Dock Dart station.
A Great Night Out
Whether you're a casual passer-by attracted by the roar of the crowd and the electricity in the air, or a corporate organiser looking for something to do, both Shelbourne Park and Harolds Cross supply everything you'll need to have a great night out.
We pride ourselves on our ability to deliver an outstanding night's entertainment, making another night in the local pub or restaurant look just a little lacklustre by comparison.
And even if you're not normally a betting person, we assure you that the excitement and anticipation of participation will soon have you captivated.
We welcome everyone to the stadia, the serious dog-watcher, the after-work crowd looking for something better than a night in a smoky pub, the clubs after a comfortable and well-organised evening out, the corporate outings. Whatever your need, we'll cover it.
Whether you arrive out of the blue or opt for one of our group specials (the midweek 'Sizzlers' special is extremely popular), you'll receive the best in quality and service, in a special environment which presents all the excitement of the world's leading greyhound stadia in a luxurious, atmospheric setting.
Grandstand Restaurant
Shelbourne Park's Grandstand Restaurant provides diners with an unrivalled view of the racing circuit from the terraced middle floor.
Dinner is served during the race programme and Tote (Totalisator) staff collect customers bets at the table.
The Grandstand Restaurant has earned a well-deserved reputation for superb food and service, and is home to 2 bars if you need to drown your sorrows or pop a bottle of champagne after a big win.
Booking is essential for the Grandstand Restaurant.
Carvery Restaurant
On the ground floor of the Shelbourne Park there is a large carvery restaurant, a coffee dock serving hot beverages and fresh sandwiches, a large tote betting area and a lively bar.
There is also seating and monitors for those wishing to watch the racing, or you can go outside to the track itself and watch the race unfolding mere metres from where you stand.
The carvery restaurant itself serves great, inexpensive food, just what you need to keep you going throughout the evening. There is a large selection of main courses and snacks
