Table d'Hote
Lunch offers at least three choices on each course, plus a few luxurious options from the - la carte listed as extras; west coast mussel risotto with a saffron cream, roast lamb tian with aubergine, courgette and thyme juices and strawberry tiramisu with a red fruit coulis are all typical. The - la carte offers classics such as west coast oysters (native or rock) and grilled lobster, individually priced, and there may be game in season. Finish with cheeses (including some Irish ones) or a classic dessert like warm thin apple tart (baked to order), with a rum and raisin ice cream. The wine list naturally favors France and makes interesting reading, notably the two pages of "recommendations du patron" (en rouge et blanc).
