Luigi Malones is located on the corner of Temple Bar Square, at the very heart of the action. We are directly behind the Central Bank on Cecilia Street. The restaurant is one of the busiest in Ireland and has the reputation as one of the "friendliest" places to visit in Temple Bar.

Part of the historic Dublin City Wall is displayed within the restaurant. This wall, which incorporated part of a friary dating to 1260, was discovered as part of the archeological dig which took place during the preparation works for the foundations of the restaurant. It is a matter of historical record that at least two murders were committed during 1379 within the precincts of the Friary. Also unearthed was a ceramic tile (nicknamed the - Devil's tile) depicting 'The Lion Rampant' - it is believed to be the oldest tile ever found in Ireland. And speaking of the devil, make sure you have a look at the very rare print as you descend the staircase.
