Description: Established in 1899, Plamerston club has always been one of the top Rugby clubs in Ireland, offering competitive sports to its fans for over 100 years.
Palmerston Football Club was established in 1899 in Ranelagh and has a magnificent pavilion and grounds at Kilternan, which officially opened in 1980. Palmerston moved from Beaver Row to a field behind Milltown Railway Station, where it reached senior status in 1919.
In 1998 / 99 season, Palmerston was promoted to Division 1 and finished second, reaching the final of the Leinster Senior Cup for the first time. This feat made its outstanding impression among elite teams of Dublin.
Over the years, Plamerston has produced many excellent players from De La Salle College. De La Salle Palmerston F.C is surely one of the top Rugby Clubs in Dublin.
