Suttonians RFC was formally established in 1925 although rugby has been played in Sutton on the Northside of Dublin since the start of the twentieth century. The Club now fields five senior sides with underage teams from under 7 age grade up to under 20.
The 1993/94 season saw the club win the Leinster League, the Spencer Cup and finalists in the Metropolitan Cup.
The club won the Leinster League in 1995/96 and was promoted to the then 4th Division of the All Ireland League.
In 1996/97, the Club won the 4th division of the AIB All Ireland League with an 100% record.
In 2005/06 Suttonians achieved the historic feat of gaining promotion to the AIB All Ireland League Division 2, progressed to the semi final of the Leddin Finance Leinster Senior Cup and competed in the inaugural All Ireland Cup as one of the five sides representing Leinster.
In 2008, the club resides in All Ireland League Division 2 and would like to welcome new members from the locality or further afield, playing members and social members alike.
