Polly Hops Pub is set in the tiny town land of Milltown, halfway between Lucan & Newcastle. Originally located one hundred yards down the Lucan road.(The ruins are still visible on the first bend)
The pub was moved to its present location about one hundred years ago by the council. This was to facilitate widening the road for the transition from Horse & Cart to Motorised Transport.
