The Bloody Long Journey- an exhibition of new works by Mark Haybyrne at MadArt Gallery
18th March till 27th March 2010
This collection of large scale acrylic paintings documents different journeys through many walks of life.
It deals with the subject of travelling, whether its for a holiday or being forced to
leave your country or home due to circumstances outside of your control for example,
homelessness or seeking asylum. It also shows what its like to be stuck in the same place for longer than you want or need and how a change of scenery might help break up things at least for a little while.
