Why do we celebrate St Patrick’s Day in Dublin and worldwide with such zeal?
Much of the early development of Dublin , even before the arrival of the Vikings in the 8th century, owes its origins to the legacy of St Patrick. To uncover some of this fascinating history, why not join one of Pat Liddy’s walking tours?



In the Footsteps of St Patrick’s


The tours will take in many of the ancient sites between the two great medieval cathedrals of Christchurch and St Patrick’s Cathedral, in particular those dating from the 13th century back to the 5th century. The tour will bring you through the historical core of Dublin ’s city centre and you can listen to surprising stories about St Patrick.

Departure point: outside the main Tourist Office on Suffolk Street

Finish point: St Patrick’s Cathedral.

Time: Tuesday 16th and Thursday 18th March at 12.00 noon

Tour duration: 1,5 hours approx

Prices: €7 per person if prebooked online, by phone or in the Tourist Office.

€ 8 if bought on the day of the tour from our tour guides outside the Tourist Office in Suffolk Street . Under 16 year olds: free of charge.

All our tours have the option of a discounted add-on visit to St Patrick’s Cathedral (€4.00).
