Performances by Kíla, Irish band playing a fusion of Irish and world music; Motema, a cork based band that performs the sound of 40s and 50s Congolese rumba; the Gardiner Street Gospel Choir; and Congomania, a collective of Irish-based African musicians.

The Irish Ethiopian Friendship Association will display Nigerian & Somalian oil and skin paintings; photographs; costumes and wooden carvings and World Design, a contemporary, functional African Crafts shop based in Powerscourt Town Centre, will display African cloths, large African feather hats, African shields with baskets and masks.

Featuring readings and spoken word performances from well-known writer and broadcaster, Róisín Ingle; Declan Lynch, award-winning author of ‘The Rooms’; Chinedu Onyejelem, founder and editor of Metro Éireann; Thabi Madide, debut South African novelist; Bisi Adigun, founder and artistic director of Arambe Productions, Ireland’s first African Theatre, and more.
