Eamonn’s album 'Kindred Spirits' which features serious special guests (including Rory’s last studio performance) is gathering critically acclaim across the board and a welcome return back to the world blues-rock circuit after a hiatus that saw him greatly missed. Some of you may remember this artist as Samuel Eddy, Aimon and now has emerged as his true alter ego as Eamonn McCormack.
Legendary guitarists such as Johnny Winter, Nils Loftgren, Jan Ackkerman, Walter Trout and Alvin Lee are not only cited as influences but he has also toured and recorded with them. Although no-one especially Eamonn would call his music new blues, you can't; the blues was never new, it came from somewhere few in this day and age could find and fewer want to. But to anyone less than thirty Eamonn is fresh, and exciting. He plays a Blues blends current rock. He plays his own songs and a few songs from legends but as if the legends were alive today. Always interesting, definitely worth a listen!
