The result is an honest and very funny look at Modern Ireland’s values. A little too honest at times!!
Meet Ray, Arthur and Maurice, three security guards working in a large shopping centre complex on the outskirts of Dublin City. Ray is angry. He feels threatened by the number of ‘New Irish’ being employed by the security company he works for. The final straw comes when Polish Pete is promoted to be his supervisor and Ray gets fired. Arthur considers himself a liberal. Live and let live. But his only son has just told him he is gay. Arthur won’t have it and has to put him straight. Maurice is stuck in the middle. He is content. His internet Russian bride-to-be arrives tomorrow and he can’t wait to begin his new life. From the producers of I Keano and Alone it Stands, Over and Out is a new comedy that explores themes of family, friendship, fear of change, facing who we really are, and what it means to be a worker in the Ireland of today.
This show contains strong language and adult content.
