Since its opening in 1981 and now with its refurbished outlook, Powerscourt is the most popular and the most favourite when it comes to shopping. Restaurants, gift shops, boutiques, sport wear, art galleries, antiques, crafts, beauty salons - you name it and Powerscourt has it! The Powerscourt Centre was opened in 1981. The former period residence and courtyard with frontages onto South William Street, Coppinger Row and Clarendon Street was converted into a fully enclosed three storey shopping centre. Some of the most stylish shops of all the leading chain stores are on the ground floor. Including FCUK and Karen Millen, Eden Park which is a French franchise also has its store on the ground floor.

The design centre of Powerscourt offers exclusive lines from top international and national designers. The centre also hosts a fashion show twice a year to promote the Irish fashion industry. Town Bride and Ciara Bridal are the two bridal outlets in the centre and both ensure that you look gorgeous and ravishing on your special day. Designs on order are also taken. A variety of jewellers is also available; Emma Stewart Liberty who specializes in silver, Michael Perry who specializes in diamonds and Patrick Flood who is a general jeweller and will design on site. The Powerscourt has something for everyone and you wont go empty handed that's for sure once you enter this grand pinnacle of shopping at its best!

The antique section has been a favourite since its opening 20 years ago and specializes in silver, porcelain and jewellery. The Hair and Beauty section includes Buttercups, Pzazz, Colour Me Beautiful and Wigwam. Why not let a pair of soothing hands massage you after a hectic day of shopping.

A fabulous Brazilian Sportswear shop has opened called Brazil Body selling top of the range sportswear. Shopping gifts had never been as easy as its now once you enter Powerscourt. With its wide assortment of gift outlets, you'll want to buy every item on the shelf.
