Portaferry Hotel Restaurant is a great place to try out some delightfully tasting dishes. The best of the local produce is utilized in creating these dishes. The local produce consists of the beef of Ulster, Mourne lamb and game from the surrounding counties. Portaferry Hotel Restaurant is internationally renowned for its seafood dishes. The seafood arrives fresh every day from the fishing villages of Portavogie and Ardglass.

Shanks Restaurant is also a great place to sink your teeth into uniquely delicious tasting dishes. These unique dishes use meat, poultry and seafood that are produced locally. The availability of local produce is never the same so expect menu changes from time to time.

You can look forward to some great soups, salads and desserts at the Rosemary Jane Tea Room. Vegetarian dishes are also served here. Gilberry Fayre is known for serving food for a healthy lifestyle made from local ingredients but ironically they still offer a mouth watering selection of sweets. Hampton's Coffee Shop provides tea and coffee prepared from filtered water to give it more of a fuller flavour. Their scones come highly recommended. Sullivan's is the place where you can try out such exotic delicacies as pigeon with lentils and bacon, roast cod with tomatoes, lamb with tomato and chick peas and vanilla ice cream with caramelised bananas. Coffee, cinnamon scones and delicious lunches can be enjoyed at the Bay Tree Shop.
